About Jill Tovey

Jilly's path towards a career in art and illustration is original to say the least. Having originally studied Computer Science at Glamorgan and Gloucestershire University and been awarded a prize from GCHQ for research into intrusion detection and prevention, Jill began her career on a graduate scheme as an infrastructure analyst at MessageLabs, now part of Symantec and within one year was promoted to team leader in the Global Operations Centre.

In 2005 Jilly moved out of technology to pursue a more creative career and co-founded 10 Yetis, a consumer public relations agency based in the Cotswolds now with over 15 staff and clients across the Globe including IKEA Family Mobile, TotalJobs, MyVoucherCodes, sunshine.co.uk, Just-Eat.co.uk, Prezzybox.com and Tribewanted to name but a few.

Growing 10 Yetis enabled Jilly to spend more time working on creative briefs and design campaigns and through the encouragement of friends and family developed her artistic side. Entering her first piece of art into the Drench Art Awards and beating thousands of other entries Jilly's piece was shortlisted and exhibited at the respected Proud Galleries in Camden.

This achievement was the catalyst for new commissions and work from across UK and Europe. In 2009 and 2010 Jilly was able to find enough time in her hectic schedule of working, along with having her first child in 2009, to put together her first portfolio which is now available via this website.

Jilly is married to Andy and along with son Keaton, lives in the heart of the Cotswolds with a needy Basset Hound called Hugo and angry female cat called Philip.
